NOVEMBER 21ST

5:30 p.m. @ AIM Exchange Building

An evening of experiential theatre blending actors & videos will be unlike any other dinner you have attended.

From arrival to exit you will hear stories inspired by the hungry & homeless in Omaha and truly understand the importance of the partnership between Saving Grace Perishable Food Rescue & Stephen Center's Pettigrew Emergency Homeless Shelter.

Truly an experience.... not an event.

Admission: Frozen Turkey, Ham or $25.00

Clicking 'Register Now' will redirect you to eventbrite.com for tickets.

Registration required to attend.

Click tickets and as you select payment methods at check-out you can choose to either 'pay now' online or select 'at the door' if you will be bringing a frozen turkey, ham or want to pay in person at The Omaha Hunger Experience.

THE EXPERIENCE

Was that person on the street as I came in ...an actor?

What's the story of the man camping out in the lobby?

Don't worry, he will tell you.

As you enter you will draw a "meal ticket" indicating whether you will receive a low-cost or a gourmet meal. (random draw)

During drinks and dinner you will be taken on a journey told through mixed media and storytelling.

We will all end the night with a dessert that illustrates Stephen Center's and Saving Grace's vision for OUR Future: one where everyone enjoys quality fresh foods regardless of our circumstances.

THE VENUE

In 2005, AIM purchased Omaha’s historic Grain Exchange building.

Built in 1915, the building housed the Omaha Grain Exchange, a cash market where sellers presented grain for sale.

The trading floor was located on the 7th floor of the building. The south wall of the 7th floor had a large chalkboard where prices were recorded by hand. You can see a replica of that board there November 21st at the Omaha Hunger Experience.

The proud heritage of the building’s past is honored as  it now serves as the home for an organization focused on the future technology of Omaha, Nebraska, and the entire region – The AIM Institute.
